If you’re an Armed Forces service leaver or veteran, Advance into Justice (AiJ) provides an opportunity to take up a rewarding second career.
What is Advance into Justice? Here are 5 things you need to know:
✅ it’s a bespoke recruitment scheme exclusively for Armed Forces service leavers, veterans, and their civil partners or spouses
✅ provides access to a range of roles across The Prison and Probation Service, including fast-track access to prison officer training
✅ opens up opportunities to build on the skills you learnt in the military
✅ offers benefits to support your transition and resettlement
✅ includes ongoing training and progression opportunities, plus a great pension
What's on offer?
An opportunity to secure a job before you leave the military. If you’re still in your transition period, you’ll be able to defer your start date for your new role to align with your leaving date.
A two-year fixed-term contract, with an opportunity to move to a permanent role once you’ve completed a full year.
To support your resettlement, we offer generous home-to-work travel expenses, if you live within 75 minutes of your base working location. Or you can claim up to £12k relocation expenses if you live more than 75 minutes away and are willing to move for your new role.
Access to a range of support networks and a 'buddy' when you first start in post
