If you don’t want to wait, you can apply to be a prison officer now via our standard recruitment process which takes 6 to 7 months to complete. You’ll find our latest vacancies here.
Select your preferred prison
The Advance into Justice scheme is available in 50 prisons. You can select your preferred three prisons from this list. While we will try to allocate you to your first choice, we may need to assign you to a prison that has more vacancies. If you live more than 75 minutes from this prison, you will be able to claim up to £12,000 in receipted relocation costs.
